everydle is a browser extension that keeps track of your daily puzzle game results and lets you compare them with friends. This page explains what it stores, where, and how to remove it.
On your computer
When you finish a supported game, everydle reads the result from that game's page and saves it in your browser's extension storage. This includes the score, the puzzle number and date, and for some games details such as the questions and answers of the day. Your game list and settings are stored there too.
everydle only reads game results from the game sites it supports. It does not read other pages, your browsing history, or anything you type.
On our server, only if you log in
You can use everydle without an account. If you log in with Discord to compare with friends, the following is stored on our server at everydle.app:
- Your Discord user id, display name and avatar. We ask Discord only for the
identifypermission: no email, no servers, no messages. - Your game results and which games are on your daily list.
- Your friend code and the friends you add.
- Problem reports and game suggestions you send, with the extension version and browser name.
Your results are visible to the friends you add, and to nobody else. Anonymous totals, such as how many people play a game, can be shown in the extension, but only when enough people are counted that no one can be identified.
Without logging in
When you sort the Games page by Popular or Trending, the extension asks our server for those anonymous totals. That request contains nothing about you.
What we don't do
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone.
- We use the data only to run everydle's features.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not stored.
Deleting your data
In the extension, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This removes everything about you from our server straight away. Removing the extension deletes everything stored on your computer.
Changes
If what we collect changes, we'll update this page and tell you in the extension.
